Elizabeth Turnbull's Biography

The founder of Turnbull Marketing Group, Elizabeth J. Turnbull, was born and raised in Haiti, where three generations of missionaries preceded her. She grew up on the mission field and became involved in the work from an early age. Throughout high school and college, Elizabeth found her passion in writing and creative design. She used her talent to help the mission and other organizations in Haiti develop promotional materials that would further their cause. She has been involved with nonprofit organizations her entire life – literally.

After her graduation from Wake Forest University, Elizabeth went to work with Food For The Poor, Inc., now the second-largest international charity in the United States. She joined the Creative Department and helped raise millions of dollars through fundraising letters, brochures, and special events materials. The money raised went to support the organization’s many programs. It was at Food For The Poor that Elizabeth became convinced of the need for small and medium-sized organizations to also have access to professional fundraising and marketing services.

Elizabeth Turnbull holds an MA in Latin American and Caribbean Cultural Studies, so she makes sure our services aren’t limited to just English-language or US-based organizations.
